Evotec & Aptuit

"Our companies Evotec and Aptuit have established a JustGiving site for the fundraising we are doing over this year. I am on the Charities Committee that organises fundraising activities for our nominated charity of the year. Our connection with SSNAP is through an employee whose son was born very prematurely and had a stay at the John Radcliffe Newborn Care Unit – he nominated SSNAP to be our charity for the year and this was selected by our employees from a list of 20 nominated charities through a voting process. He was very happy that our staff selected SSNAP to support.

So far we have raised £649 for SSNAP through fundraising activities, with another £455 to add from a recent raffle and some games we organised and held at our staff summer party (including welly wanging, egg-and-spoon race challenge and hook-a-duck!). We also won £500 in the recent Milton Park Car-Free day by being the company with the largest % of staff travelling to work without a car or car-sharing. We have also organised quizzes, bakes sales, treasure hunts and sweepstakes, and we had runners in the Oxford Town and Gown 10K who raised money for SSNAP. We have more activities planned for the rest of the year.

We have five runners for SSNAP in the Oxford Half, including myself. We’re hoping to raise at least £1000 between the 5 of us!"
