"Our son Albert spent a week in NICU after his birth in April 2018 and during that time, we were introduced to SSNAP and the fantastic work they do to support families like ours. From the welcome sight of the snack trolley (cherry bakewells and Capri-Sun!🙌) to the lactation nurse who helped me start expressing by Bert's bedside:

the kindness and support we received from SSNAP really helped us through some really hard days.

While we were still in hospital, I mentioned to my husband that I would like to fundraise in the future, as a way of thanking them for their help and ensuring other families are able to get the same support. As a result, I'll be running the Bournemouth Marathon in October. I've run a couple of half marathons pre-baby, but squeezing the training around working and looking after Albert is going to be a challenge!"
