SSNAP are delighted to be chosen as one of the official charities for the Blenheim Fun Run!

SSNAP are proud to be chosen as one of the designated charities this year for the 'Blenheim Fun Run,' happening on Sunday 10th October at World Heritage site Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. 

There are three events to choose from and one great day out: the main 7k, 4 miles for buggies and wheelchairs (note it is a challenging route for wheelchairs but you can bring assistance to get round) and 1 mile for under 15s.

All SSNAP runners (for adults only) will receive 20% off their registration fee by quoting 'SSNAP20' in the discount section when you sign up via the link below. 

Once registered please email; [email protected] (with your Name, Address and T-shirt Sizes) so we can send you out your fundraising pack. We don't ask for a minimum amount of sponsorship but are here to help you every step of the way with your fundraising!

Superstar & Personal Trainer Sophie Carter and her family, have supported SSNAP at the Blenheim Fun Run for the past few years, after their twin daughter Isla was supported by SSNAP in 2020.

"Our twins were born at the JR on 8th June 2020. I was 37 weeks exactly which is full term for twins and I went in to be induced on the afternoon of the 7th June. An induction wasn’t needed as I was already in labour. Jaxon was born naturally first and then on trying to deliver Isla I was told her umbilical cord was stuck and if I delivered her naturally it would cut off her oxygen supply and so an emergency c section was performed under a general anaesthetic. Isla was born having suffered a brain injury and she was taken to the NICU. I was only reunited with her later that same day where she was being cooled. We were introduced to the work SSNAP did for parents like us and we were very lucky Isla made a full recovery but without the fast treatment she received and expert care we would not be where we are now. We are forever indebted to SSNAP and the NICU doctors, nurses and staff!  

Isla and Jaxon are now coming up to 15 months and are regular training companions on our runs in the running buggy!! I have run the Blenheim 7k before and its a great family friendly event set in the beautiful traffic free grounds of Blenheim Palace. 

I also ran the buggy race last year virtually with my partner Jonathan and our twins and have ran it before with my now 8 year old son when he was younger. I would encourage everyone to sign up for this fantastic Family Fun Event which helps raise money for such an incredible charity as is SSNAP."
