SSNAP were absolutely thrilled to receive a cheque from John Grace, Captain of Badgemore Park Golf Club in Henley (for 2020/2021), whom over 2 years has raised a staggering £9741.65 for SSNAP!
John's twin boys were helped on the unit when they were born just over 40 years ago, weighing a tiny 2lbs 15 & 2lbs 12oz. After spending 2 months on the unit they finally went home on their due date!
SSNAP were delighted that John as Captain, chose to support us all these years on, and want to say a HUGE thank you to him, his wife Janice and all the members at Badgemore Park Golf Club who got involved in raising such an amazing amount, especially during 2 challenging years of covid.
Club Members undertook Captains' Driving Days, Away Days, Sweep Stakes, Raffles and in 2020 John even grew his hair for 6 months raising £800 for SSNAP! Thanks also goes to all the wives and partners who helped give out many coffees and cakes at the Half Way Hut on the golf days, and to the owner who also donated £200 to the charity.
Once again, thank you John, Janice and all of the members wholeheartedly for your incredible support and for raising such an incredible amount for SSNAP. 40 years on, it will still make such a difference for our tiny patients, their parents and the amazing NHS staff that care for them, as they did for your twin boys, so thank you. xxx
