SSNAP are excited to announce that we have two ladies, Nicola and Rosie, running the London Marathon (actually through the streets of London, not virtually!) for us on Sunday 3rd October! Both Nicola and Rosie's families have been touched by the support of SSNAP and wanted to give something back by taking on this incredible challenge! Please see their Just Giving Links below if you would like to sponsor and support them.
Thank you SO much Nicola and Rosie, we know the Virgin London Marathon is an epic challenge and we will all be cheering you on every step of the way on the 3rd! You got this!! Team SSNAP xx
Nicola's Story:
"In January 2019 I was blue lighted to Oxford John Radcliffe hospital to deliver my baby boy Thomas 5 weeks early as I was diagnosed with a serious form of pre-eclampsia.
Thomas was quite poorly and subsequently needed surgery at birth, he was admitted directly to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where he was superbly cared for by many nurses, consultants and surgeons over a series of weeks.
SSNAP provided much needed support to my husband and I at the most difficult time.
SSNAP is a wonderful charity which really does help save tiny lives."

Rosie's Story:
"I have ambitiously signed up to do the London Marathon this October. I’m by no means a natural runner - seven years ago I couldn’t run more than a mile and had declared myself ‘not a runner’. However, with a lot of encouragement from friends and family, and some grit and determination, I’ve progressed through the 10ks to half marathons and this is now the next (rather significant) challenge.
I’m particularly grateful to SSNAP for supporting my nephew, sister and brother-in-law during their time at the Newborn Care Unit earlier this year and I know that their support made a huge difference to them all and was a real help at a difficult time."
